Method
- Peel the onion and chop very, very finely.
- Put the onion in a saucepan and fry until golden (light/medium brown). Fry on medium heat.
- Add the oil and fry for another 10-15 min.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and simmer for about 15 min.
- When the onion and tomato are done, add 0.75 litres of water and simmer again.
- Add Shiro powder a little at a time, stirring constantly. Take care to stir away any lumps. Finally, add salt and chopped garlic. Simmer for approx. 20 min while stirring.

- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 carton chopped tomato
- 4-5 tbsp Shiro (spice)
- 1 clove of garlic
- Salt to taste
